Q

Treatment table 5

Can you extend oxygen breathing time if Sx persist?

A

Yes. May extend two oxygen-breathing at the 30 foot stop. No air break required between oxygen-breathing periods or prior to ascent

Q

Treatment table 5

Explain tender treatment

A

Inside tender breathes 100% oxygen during ascent from 30 foot stop to surface.

If tender had previous hyperbaric exposure in previous 12 hours, an additional 20 min of oxygen breathing is required prior to ascent.

17
Q

Treatment table 6

When does oxygen time begin?

A

Upon arrival to 60 fsw

18
Q

Treatment table 6

What do you do if CNS oxygen toxicity occurs?

A

Allow 15 min after rxn has entirely subsided and resume schedule at point of interruption

19
Q

Treatment table 6

What can you do if Sx persist?

A

Can lengthen table up to 2 additional 25 min periods at 60 feet (20 min on oxygen and 5 min on air) or up to 2 additional 75 min periods at 30 fsw (15 min on air and 69 min on oxygen) or both

20
Q

Treatment table 6

What does the inside tender do?

A

Tender breathes 100% oxygen during the last 30 min at 30 fsw and during ascent to the surface for an unmodified table, or where there has been only a single extension at 30 or 60 fsw. If there has been more than one extension, the oxygen breathing at 30 fsw is increased to 60 min. If the tender had a hyperbaric exposure within the past 12 hours an additional 60 min oxygen period is taken at 30 feet.

21
Q

Describe treatment table 6

A

Descent in 3 min to 60 fsw (20 ft/min). 20 min oxygen, 5 min air, 20 min oxygen, 5 min air, 20 min oxygen, 5 min air, 30 min ascent to 30 fsw (1 ft/min), 15 min oxygen, 60 min air, 15 min air, 60 min oxygen, 30 min ascent to surface (1 ft/min)

22
Q

Treatment table 6

What is total tx time?

A

285 min (4 hours and 45 min) not including descent time.
