A

psychological trauma
genetic predisposition
PANDAS - paediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated with streptococcal infections
associated with: depression, schizophrenia, anorexia nervosa, tourettes

A

is it causing distress/effecting daily life

1st line OCD management

A

for mild functional impairment

CBT with exposure therapy

moderate/severe functional impairment
give an SSRI (any but fluoxetine is good for body dysmorphia)
more intense CBT
combined treatment for severe
