- focused on movement production
- inconsistent
- know something is wrong but not how to correct it
- fast improvement
Stages Of Learning
Associative
This is the second stage of learning
Characteristics
- beginning to refine technique/movement pattern
- consistent
- fewer errors
- learning to detect errors and self correct
- improvement slows slightly
Stages Of Learning
Autonomous

Characteristics
- skill becomes mostly automatic
- attention is no longer fully required, can now focus on things like calling plays
- fully detect their errors and eliminate them
- good coaching is still advantageous
