What is sequestrum?
Necrotic bone that is embedded in pus/infected granulation tissue
Involucrum?
New bone laid down by the periosteum that surrounds the sequestra
Cloaca
opening in the involucres through which pus and sequestra make their way out

Get antibiotics to cover staph and strep - flucloxacillin + benzylpenicillin
What are the principles of treatment of necrotising fasciitis?
Know what bug you’re dealing with, operate if there is dead tissue or foreign body
