how do you place a hall crown?

A

mix cement and load into crown ensuring no air bubbles, place over dry surface and push down until partially seated when meeting contact point. get patient to bite down and leave for 2 mins with child biting down

where should the crown be sitting

A

slightly high as there is no occlusal reduction, margin should be subgingival

A

time efficient for children that wont sit long, no LA/tooth prep/caries removal and high success rate

how do you mix GI?

A

3 scoops powder to 3 drops water. Take powder into liquid and ensure spatula is cleaned

how is a conventional crown different to a hall crown?

A

clear contacts with tapered diamond separating bur to achieve around 15 degree angle and knife edge finish, reduce occlusal height by approximately 1-2mm, ensure rounded angles, select crown and contour as with hall
