If you want to accentuate the blacks in a BandW photo, i.e. make them deeper, which way do you move the slider?
A
Move it to the left, to make it more dark. Moving it to the right doesn’t increase the black, it increases the brightness.

Sometimes flipping horizontally can create a more interesting pic.
