verapamil

A

Action: inhibits Ca2+ channels; unchanged repol time
Use: PSVT, AFIB and flutter (to reduce ventricular rate), multifocal atrial tachycardia (to reduce ventricular rate)
Side effects: can lead to hypotension
Contraindications: avoid with Beta blocker use
notes: mostly on SA and AV nodes; reduce SA node automaticity and reduce AV nodal conduction
