‘Religion is sincerity.’ We said: ‘To whom?’ The Prophet said: ‘To Allah, his Book, his Messenger, the
leaders of the Muslims and to their common people.’

Teaching:
key words : Nasihah –> sincere advice
Islam is based on sincerity - follow the faithfully with dedication
“Indeed sincerity leads to piety and indeed piety leads to paradise”
Sincerity to Allah - firm belief in Allah, rejection of Shirk
Sincerity to Book - believing Quran is the sacred word of Allah
Sincerity to Prophet - acknowledging him as the last prophet
Sincerity to leaders - following their leadership and not creating disorder
Sincerity to common people - helping them in difficulties and not causing discomfort

Action:
Sincerity to Allah- implementing the Sharia, fulfilling the obligations of Islam; punctuality in prayers
Sincerity to Quran - acting and respecting its content, explaining Quran to others
example of companions - stood with prophet through all hardships
Sincerity to common people- helping, guiding them, being kind and respectful

Teachings :
one should be concerned about others, regarded as a sign of sincerity
stress upon brotherhood asked Muslims to be caring and concerning; keeps jealousy away
Muslims should be a source of good for one another
“believers are a single brotherhood”

Action:
wanting the best for others, wishing well, being happy for them
not confined to choosing the same material things, genuinely respond to others needs eg if one wishes well for his own family the same should be wished for others
Muslims should never take pleasure in other’s misfortunes
brotherhood b/w muhajireen and ansar was established
eg. countries giving refuge to the people who have left their own countries
