Three focuses for analyzing waste processes

  1. Moments of truth -> what are critical steps that ‘have to go right’ in order to consistently deliver value to the customer?
  2. Handoffs -> where an item or service is passed across the boundary between two dinstinct organizational functions inside or outside the organization
  3. Value add -> how much ‘action’ time is there in the process?
