How is this exam set up?
A
Patient correct distance from Snellen chart – 6m for full size chart, 3m for reduced chart.
*MUST tell Patient to wear glasses if has them – if not, carried out unaided
-if finding hard give them the pinhole (helps reduce surrounding light)
- cover each eye
- pinhole
- wear glasses if have them
Scoring: 6m/over lowest line can read
6/6 is the best
ADD or MINUS +/- letters if they can partially/not partially read a line
