What is autosomal dominant?
A dominant trait(only needs 1 of the allele) available in autosomal chromosomes.
What is autosomal recessive?
A recessive trait(needs 2 of the same allele) found in autosomal chromosomes.
What is sex-linked dominant?
A dominant trait (needs 1 of the allele) found in chromosomes that control sex (x/y)
What is sex-linked recessive?
A recessive trait (needs 2 of the allele) found in chromosomes that control sex (x/y)
What is a carrier?
An individual who is heterozygous and carries one of the alleles needed to produce a trait. (Aren’t affected but could lead to a child being affected)
What is a pedigree?
A chart that shows a family’s genetic history and tracks certain traits.
