*nerve/art/vein/empty/lymph nodes

FEMORAL ART (Ext. Iliac. Art.)

FEMORAL. VEIN. (grat saphenous vein and popliteal vein)

FEMORAL N = innervates the anterior compartment of the thigh, and provides sensory branches for the leg and foot.

Q

Passage of the femoral artery

A

Arises at the infuinal ligament as a cont. of the ext iliac artery

Passes the thigh midway betwen the anterior iliac spine and the pubic symphysis

The profunda femoris is the deep artery

Q

Lumbar Plexus In-Situ

A

OBTURATOR N (most medial) often travels most vertically

FEMORAL N.: thickest

Genitofemoral: thinner and closely associated with femoral

Lateral Femoral Cutaneous: alone and will diagonally go towards inguinal ligament

Q

Sciatic Nerve

A

roots of L4-S3 - it’s thick and it goes to the knee

runs through the buttock and down the lower limb.

one of the main branches of the sacral plexus

divides into the TIBIAL N. & COMMON. FIBULAR N. at the popliteal fossa

*largest N in-situ
