An area whose character is the result of natural action and human interaction

Refers to the lands height above sea level AND the steepness of the slopes

What is the difference between upland areas and lowland areas?
A
Upland areas- high above sea level - MOSTLY mountains
Lowland areas- not very high above sea level- MOSTLY flat

A
The build up of ice on the land during colder periods in time
