Aims of west at Yalta
Germany should be rebuilt as an independent democratic country and countries in the east should have the right to self-determination and be free from outside influence. The united nations should be formed to help avoid conflicts. There should be economic co-operation through the word bank.
What were aims of USSR at Yalta
Spheres of influence should be created to guarantee security and Germany should remain week. German industry should pay for rebuilding of USSR and the World bank should have no authority over the USSR but they would work with UN.
Potsdam, grand alliance dissolving
Stalin desire to make Germany pay was completely opposed. Truman and Attlee wanted independence and self-determination for the countries of Eastern Europe whereas Stalin wanted them to remain under Soviet influence. USSR’s Red Army occupied most of Eastern Europe and the war against Japan was still raging on so the West had to accept the situation as it was.
What did castro do with ownership
He took business and industry into state ownership, including American businesses. The USA were unwilling to help him although he wanted to and Castro went to the USSR for building his economy.

An embargo that stopped all trade with that country, making the Cuba completely reliant on the USSR.
