Q

How many chromosomes do humans have and how many of them are autosomes?

Q

What happens during indepndent segregation in autosomes?

A

they will stay together but if they are on separate chromosomes, they will be separated

they will be inherited together

Q

What does independant segregation affect?

A

the expected phenotypic ratio froma dihybrid cross - because they are inherited together, they act like a monohybrid cross

Q

What can cause autosomal linkage to not happen?

A

crossing over - the alleles that are separated during this

offspring will have their parents genotype and pehnotype

some will have other genotypes and phenotypes because of crossing over
