Managing Login Keychains Flashcards

Q

Why must you reauthenticate an iCloud account when you log in on a Mac after your login password has been reset?

A

Reauthenticating the account adds the Apple ID password to the new login keychain after a login password reset.

The new login keychain that macOS creates doesn’t contain the Apple ID password for the iCloud account.
