How does the origin of the Vedas differ from the origin of the Mahabharata?

Rig Veda is around 1500BC whilst Mahabarta is around 6BC along with Ramayana and Bhagavad Gits.

We chant invocations because most of the texts were passed down orally and chanting is also an easier way of remebering.

Upanishad declares the truth rather than show the path to truth like the Yoga Sutra or Gita. They are referred to as the philosophical texts of Hindu Religiom
Upa:Near - Receptive nature required of a stident
Ni:below - Student sit below the Guru
Sad:sit - Student needs to introverted, looking into themselves
