Three steps electrical system check

1. Push both voltmeter buttons and make sure both show voltage
2. Turn on left generator and check voltage is 27.5 to 29 and doesn’t fluctuate more than 1 volt when switching generators
3. Release buttons and make sure voltage is within 10% of each other

2. Move both together and make sure it moves. While moving push red button all the way down to disengage. Trim wheel should stop and get TRIM light on PFD. Release red button and trim should start moving again

Put each switch in normal and hi and watch for load meter increase

Put switch in auto, look for 18-24 amps on prop ammeter and watch for momentary deflection every 90 sec for 3 min
Then hold in manual and not 5-10% load increase with an ammeter reading zero

How do you check ice vanes

Extend and look for vanes outside and make sure ICE VANE EXT lights go on and off

How does surface de ice check work

Answer 12

Switch to single and pneumatic and vacuum pressures fluctuate, then wings inflate 6-9 sec and then tail inflated 4-6 sec.

How do you check hot five

Turn on pitot heat, stall vanes, fuel vents and turn off individually noting load meter deflection
