Q

The Reichstag

A

Germans voted for a party rather than candidate to fill the reichstag
Elections determined the percentage of seats each party received but the parties themselves selected the individual who filled each allocated seat.
If parties selected the individual to fill the seats are competent people selected to serve the government? Can good decisions be made to solve the problem in Germany?
Too many small competing parties with their own set of ideals and agenda > no clear set of ideals an dagenda so no majority > high degree of fragmentation > unable to work tgt > gov would fall within a few months so decisions that benefits g not made poor governance problems remain
