How is it implemented to be effective?

A

Install protected local water sources in consultation with community as to best location so culturally appropriate, focuses on need and ensures ownership

Education programs teaching importance of sanitation practises like washing hands. Done through visual aids and song/dance in cultural language to give ownership and culturally appropriate

Train local people to maintain wells and toilets to ensure longterm sustainably. This allows them to train others, building capacity and results

Targets countries in need communicable diseases by installing toilets

Works with “Who Gives a Crap” to ensure funds go towards communities in need
