Q

Does the emergency gen supply power all the way to the ground?

A

No, the emer gen will disconnect as soon as the slats are extended as to not put too much load on the hydraulic system. The Rat is effective above 140 in order to keep hydraulic pressure for Flight controls. (Slats only avail anyways) In case of a go around, the generator can be manually reactivated by pushing MAN ON after the slats have been retracted.

Q

What are the land recovery AC and DC busses? What equipment is on the busses?

A

They contain systems required for landing. They are shed during cruise if there is an electrical emergency. They remain shed even if normal ops is restored.

The Land recovery PB recovers these busses.
The following equipment is restored

If emergency generator powered by engine pumped hydraulics (big green):

LGCIU 1 - landing gear control and interface unit
SFCC 1 - slat flap control computer
BSCU CH 1 - Breaking steering control unit
LH WS heat
LH Landing light
