Placing an image with precision
Import an image through copy and paste or uploading.
- Place relative to the page: Inputting coordinates
1. Select the image
2. Navigate to picture format
3. On the right side, look for height & width then input the appropriate size
- Place relative to the text: Text wrapping
1. Select the image
(or navigate to picture format)
2. Click on text wrapping
3. Select “Through”
Resizing an image whilst maintaining the aspect ratio
- Select the image
- Click and drag the square in the corner to the appropriate size
- Consider the aspect ratio
- Save the image
Cropping an image
Cropping: “cutting off” or removing unwanted parts of an image
1. Select the image
2. Navigate to picture format
3. Click on crop
4. Remove unwanted parts appropriately
Rotating an image
- Can be done using the mouse or a menu option
- Usually when the image is clicked, a circle-like arrow at the top is shown, use it to rotate the image
Reflecting (flip) an image horizontally or vertically
- Select the image
- Navigate to picture format
- At the left of crop, click on rotate objects
Adjusting the brightness and contrast of an image
- Select the image
- Navigate to picture format
- Click on corrections
- Choose the appropriate option
Grouping and layering images
- Grouping, ungrouping, moving to the front or back
- Right click on the image
- Choose your option (group, ungroup, bring to front, send to back)
Reducing file size
- Reduce the number of pixels (image resolution)
- Reduce the colour depth
