  • Case bought to court, Suspects enter plea in magistrates court, bail and legal aid discussed

  • Not guilty plea= trial arranged (CPS/defence lawyers make arguments and use evidence)
  • Verdict decided by jury/magistrate (guilty=sentencing e.g. imprisonment, community, suspended)
