What are some copper deficiency specific to the body?

A
  • Decreased cross-linking of collagen and elastin
    -Poor bone formation and strength, hyper-extensible skin, weak ligaments
    -increase occurrence of aortic aneurysms
  • increased ROS
  • loss of complex IV activity (decrease ATP generation)
