Engine out during takeoff roll
Reduce throttle to idle and stop straight ahead on the centerline
Engine out after liftoff
With gear extended: Reduce throttle to idle and land straight ahead
With gear retracted: Pitch for the engine-out speed and follow the engine-out checklist
Decide whether to return to the airport or land straight ahead
Engine out during climb-out

Perform the engine-out checklist
Determine if performance is adequate to continue
Engine out enroute

Complete the emergency checklist
Determine the cause of the failure and attempt to correct the problem
If unable to restart, secure the failed engine
Monitor the remaining engine carefully
Notify ATC and locate the closet suitable airport
Manage the fuel load
Vmc definition
min controllable air speed with one engine out. Below this speed, flight controls are insufficient to offset the asymmetrical thrust and roll tendencies.
When is Vmc the highest
With the CG at most rearward allowable limits. Vmc only guarantees heading
Difference between SE & ME takeoffs
In ME, you must have a predetermined plan of action in case of an engine failure. Takeoff should not be attempted if weather is below landing minimums
