Why is pride such a terrible sin?
Pride is enmity–enmity toward God and enmity toward our fellowmen. Enmity means “hatred toward, hostility to, or a state of opposition.
How many of those identified in D&C 23 had previously had revelations addressed to them? Anything new in this revelation for these men?
Samuel was the only one that had not had a revelation addressed to him, all of other 4 had the Lord speak through the prophet to them.

What is meant by “magnify thine office”?
It means to build it up in dignity and importance, to make it honorable and commendable in the eyes of all men, to enlarge and strengthen it, to let the light of heaven shine through it to the view of other men. And how does one magnify a calling? Simply by performing the service that pertains to it.
What promise is made to the Prophet? In what won’t he have strength?
Attend to thy calling and thou shalt have wherewith to magnify thine office, and to expound all scriptures, and continue in laying on of the hands and confirming the churches.
In temporal labors thou shalt not have strength, for this is not thy calling.
In D&C 24:3, Joseph Smith was told to “magnify [his] office.” What does D&C 24 say about what that office is?
His office is calling upon God in my name, and writing the things which shall be given thee by the Comforter, and expounding all scriptures unto the church.
He was to devote all his service in Zion.
Using President Hinckley’s suggestions, list the main responsibilities the Lord outlines for all women in this revelation.
Women need to be faithful: to ourselves, to the best within us, to the great, divine attributes. Be faithful to the gospel, to the church. Be faithful to God.
D&C 25:1 mentions, “daughters.” Whose daughters are they?
They are daughters of our Heavenly Father

What does the phrase, “Thou art an elect lady” mean?
Elect Lady means a woman “of the church she has already received or through obedience qualified to receive the fullness of the gospel blessings.”
According to President Hinckley, how do these responsibilities apply to all women and not just Emma?
The Lord stated “this is my voice unto ALL”. in 25:16
