25
Q

Name this nerve

A

Lateral pectoral nerve

26
Q

What are the anatomical boundaries (or components) of the pectoral girdle

A

The pelvic girdle is formed by 3 bones:
- Scapula
- Clavicle
- Manubrium of the sternum

The anterior border of the pelvic girdle is the sternoclavicular joint, which is formed by articulations of the sternal (medial) end of the clavicle and the manubrium of the sternum.

The posterior border of the pelvic girdle is formed by the acromioclavicular clavicular joint, which is formed by articulations of the acromion of the scapula and the lateral (acromial) end of the clavicle.

27
Q

What are the anatomical boundaries (or components) of the upper arm

A

The upper arm consists of the anterior and posterior portions of the humerus, which is located between the shoulder (glenohumeral joint) and elbow (humeroulnar joint and humeroradial joint).

28
Q

What are the anatomical boundaries (or components) of the forearm.

A

The forearm is between the elbow and the wrist.

It consists of the anterior and posterior portions ulna and radius bones.

29
Q

What are the anatomical boundaries (or components) of the hand.

A

The hand is located distally to the forearm. It consists of the following bones: carpals (scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum, pisiform, trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, hamate), metacarpals 1-5, phalanges 1-5.

30
Q

What is the anatomical term to indicate a structure that is found in or related to the upper arm?

A

Brachium (brachial)

31
Q

What is the anatomical term to indicate a structure that is found in or related to the lower arm?

A

antebrachium

32
Q

Identify the 2 connective tissue types that make up the pectoral girdle

A

Supportive connective tissue: bone (clavicle, scapula)

dense regular connective
tissue: ligaments of the sternoclavicular joint and acromioclavicular joint. E.g., the coracoclavicular ligament (joints the acromial end of the clavicle to the coracoid process of the scapula).
