  • They attack at times where food stores were exhausted of produced and new produced had been beginning to grow,
  • Destroy new and all produce causing an extreme food shortage and food insecurity in the Sahel.
  • Affected the farmers finance as they had invested their savings into the produced which had been destroyed and therefore suffered from unstable finance and a lack of money to be able to reinvest.
