Recombinant human PTH active fragment (1-34aa). Small doses stimulate bone formation by increasing the number and action of osteoblasts in bone.
Increases bone mass, structural integrity and bone strength.

Given subcutaneously, once daily for a maximum of 24 months.
Bone mineral content is quickly lost when stopped so important to commence an anti-resportive agent when stopped e.g bisphosphate
