Q

can you reverse physical changes?

A

SOME physical changes can be reversed
example: when liquid water freezes to form ice, it can be changed back to liquid water by heating and melting the ice (because the chemical properties of matter remain the same in a physical change, a physical change is often easy to reverse)

what are physical properties?

Q

what are some physical properties

A
  • typically can be things detectable with your senses: things you can see, hear, smell, or feel
  • state of matter: liquid, solid, gas
  • odor, boiling point, ability to conduct heat, conductivity (ability to conduct electricity), ability to dissolve in other substances, melting point, color, hardness
