Q

Explain a asconoid structure

A
  • simplest structure
  • the size is limited due to the fact they only have a single layer of choanocytes limiting ability to pump water and trap food and oxygen

Q

explain the syconoid structure

A
  • body wall is pleated
  • the inner pockets are lined with choanocytes increasing the number of them so they are able to pump more water and oxygen and therefore grow to be bigger
