A

1- Amoxicillin-clavulanate 875mg BID x 10 days for adults
2- Activate salivary glands (sour candy)
3- Hot compresses.
4- Massage glands.

Red flags for pharyngeal pain. (5)

A

1- Dyspnea, stridor (pritonsillar abscess
2- Spit saliva out/drooling (PTA or epiglottitis)
3- Deviated uvula (PTA)
4- Muffled (hot potato voice) or hoarse voice (PTA or pipiglottitis)
5- Trismus (Can’t open mouth) (sign of deep space infection)
