what does f.i.t.t stand for?

what is frequency?
how often you participate in training, usually over a weekly basis
depends on things like age, conditioning, and competitive aspirations
CSEP recommends at least three sessions a week of vigorous activities, along with three sessions of strength activities per week but this may not be enough for top-level athletes who may engage in as many as 15 training sessions per week
how is intensity calculated for aerobic exercise?
calculate your maximum heart rate
target heart rate is 60-90% of mhr
how is intensity calculated for strength training?
to work to a percentage of your one-repetition maximum
what is type?
performing specific activities directly related to your sport
performing activities that build strength and endurance without mimicking skills
what is time?
all training should be progressive
