16
Q

the time that exterior wall construction can withstand fire exposure as determined by the standard fire test.

A

Fire-Resistive rating

17
Q

What shall be treated to materials required to be flame-spread proofed?

A

Flame-retardant

18
Q

Differentiate Fire resistant and flame retardant

A

Fire resistant can operate as normal within fire conditions.
Flame retardant will not operate as normal within fire conditions but will actively prevent the fire from spreading.

19
Q

Areas within which only certain types of buildings/ structures are permitted to be constructed based on their use or occupancy, type of construction, and resistance to fire.

A

Fire Zones

20
Q

A building/structure which is located partly in one fire zone and partly in another shall be considered to be in the more ____, when more than 1/3 of its total floor area is located in such zone.

A

Highly restrictive fire zone

21
Q

Areas wherein siting of buildings/ structures are permitted within prescribed fire-resistivity measures for exterior walls of at least 2-hr fire resistivity. Usual locations in suburban areas are permitted to be built with at least 1-hr fire-resistivity throughout as Types II, III, IV constructions as prescribed in Section 401 of the Code.

A

Fire Restrictive Zones

22
Q

These are areas where siting of buildings/ structures are permitted without fire-resistivity measures, often located in the country sides or rural areas where commercial and industrial and other buildings are sparsely constructed, or may be clustered in small groups like farm lands wherein dwellings are built of indigenous materials such as bamboo, sawali, nipa, cogon, palm leaves and wood up to Type I and II construction

A

Non-Fire Restricted Zones

23
Q

Areas wherein highly fire-resistive or non-combustible buildings/structures and /or construction assemblies of no less than 3-4 hr fire-resistive construction materials are used throughout, inc exterior walls

A

Highly Fire Restrictive Zones
