international government organizations (IGOs)
what is the purpose of international organization
working closely in the areas of peace and security, and also to deal with economic and social questions.
what are the categories of IGOs
global (UN, WHO, World Trade Org)
regional (ASEAN, NATO, Organization of African Unity)
it is an international organization not created by an international treaty.
focus on a specific set of issues, such as hunger or disease, and can be funded by philanthropies or through partial government funding.
International Nongovernment Organizations (INGO’s)
a corporation that has its facilities and other assets in at least one country other than its home country.
it has offices and factories in different countries and usually have a centralized head office where they co-ordinate global management
