Q

what was the conclusion to this experiment

A

a child exposed to an aggressive model is likely to display aggression and to imitate aggressive acts. boys are more aggressive than girls overall but are less likely to copy aggressive behaviour from a female model

Q

what does this experiment ignore

A

the genetic basis for aggression so not all children copy aggression from violent media so there must be factors influencing this

Q

generalisability

A

only 3-5 year olds os low as the children were from an american nursery irs unlikely we can generalise the results beyond this sample

Q

ethics

A

the children were made to feel aggressive and distressed by the withdrawal of the toys so exposing children to an aggressive role model and effectively teaching them aggressive acts is also unethical
