- rabbit specific fleas that can spread myxomatosis

- nibbling / scratching at skin
- fur loss
- small red bumps on skin → flea bite marks
- evidence of flea droppings → similar to black specs of dirt
- anaemia → fleas suck blood, and if present in large numbers can cause anaemia
