Q

Explain Storage: Flash, Magnetic, Optical

A

Pieces of equipment that store all the programs and data.

Flash: Flash memory is a long-life and non-volatile storage chip that is widely used in embedded systems. It can keep stored data and information even when the power is off. Used in things like tablets.

Magnetic: Magnetic storage uses the two types of magnetic polarities to represent the binary information consisting of zeros and ones. Commonly used devices that use magnetic storage include magnetic tape, floppy disks and hard-disk drives.

Optical: Optical storage is any storage type in which data is written and read with a laser. E.g., CDs, DVDs.
