12
Q

Describe the “Suicide sac” function of lysosomes?

A

If a cell membrane or DNA is damaged, the nucleus messages the lysosomes to burst dissolving/digesting/destroying the cell, ( this process is called Apoptosis )

15
Q

What does the nucleus do?

16
Q

Where is the nucleolus?

A

inside the nucleus

17
Q

What does the nucleolus do?

A

makes ribosomes

18
Q

What is the highway system of the cell?

A

endoplasmic reticulum (ER)

19
Q

What are the two kinds of ER?

A

Smooth and rough

20
Q

What is rough ER?

A

ER that is covered in ribosomes

21
Q

What is smooth ER?

A

ER w/o ribosomes, makes lipids, hydrolyze glycogen

22
Q

What do ribosomes do?

A

make proteins

23
Q

What organelle is responsible for modifying

A
