What is rhetoric?
Rhetoric is the art of persuasion, which along with grammar and logic, is one of the three ancient arts of discourse
What is your rhetorical self?
how you present yourself to everyone around you and how you socialize.
What is ethos?
a Greek word meaning “character” that is used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community, nation, or ideology; and the balance between caution, and passion. The Greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music to influence emotions, behaviors, and even morals (Morality of a situation

How do modality and medium work together?
When you want to communicate something you decide the medium and then you decide the modality.
What is a genre?
The different types of writing that Mediums and modalities are used to discuss. (history, science, academic studies)
why is context important?
you can’t fully understand the story if you don’t know the background

the singer had been cheated on several times by her former lover and wrote a song about doing things by herself.
Fiction
literature in the form of prose that describes imaginary events and people.
Scientific article
a publication that is based on empirical evidence
Argumentative
a piece of writing that takes a stance on an issue
