What are the different types of fibres that transmit pain?
A
- Ad fibres are fast-transmitting pain fibres
- Convery sharp pains
- C fibres convey slow pain (burning character)
- Non-myelinated so transmission is slower
- Both types of fibre synapse on 2nd order neurones in dorsal horn of spinal cord
