Q

Process of making Monoclonal antibodies:

A
  1. A pathogen injected into a mouse triggers an immune response where B-lymphocytes are able to produce identical antibodies to target specific antigens but they cannot divide easily
  2. Tumour cells cannot produce antibodies but they can divide easily.
  3. The B-Lymphocyte is bonded with the tumor cell to create a hybridoma.
  4. The Hybridomas can divide easily and create identical antibodies to unique antigens
  5. They are cloned, collected, and purified.
