The Australian/Commonwealth parliament is a bicameral parliament meaning it has two houses. The parliament is the supreme law-making body in Australia. It is made up of three elements:
- The Queen (represented by the Governor-General)
- The Senate (upper house)
- The House Of Representatives (lower house)
