Q

What was discovered in Belsky (1999) about early attachments?

A

Found that 3-5 year old securely attached children were more curious, self confident and got along better with other children.

This causes easier relationships because they have higher expectations and let people get close to them

Q

What are some evaluations of the influence of early attachment on later life?

A

There are issues with the methodology of these studies - recalling earlier life
Any association is weak as it is based on correlational evidence
It is too simplistic to say that only childhood internal working models have impacts on future relationships
