A
2 minutes, 30:2 until definite airway placed

What is the ALS algorithm for a shockable rhythm?
A
Assess rhythm, if shockable deliver 1st shock the restart CPR for 2 mins then rhythm check
If VT/VF persist deliver 2nd shock and restart CPR
If VT/VF persist, deliver 3rd shock - give 1mg adrenaline and 300mg amiodarone
