How does proximity affect obedience?
When Milgram replicated his study but had the learner in the same room as the teacher obedience levels fell to 40%
What happened in the touch proximity condition?
When the teacher was required to place the learners hand onto a shock plate obedience levels fell to 30%

Participants more likely to obey the experiment dressed as a guard and least likely to obey the civilian, uniforms increase levels of obedience

Milgram moved his procedure from the prestigious Yale University to a rundown office and onedice levels dropped to 48% of participants
