Grant Sample and Sampling Method

A

39 Participants and it consisted of 17 females and there were 23 males. The age ranged was 17-56 years, a mean of 23.4 years.

The participants were recruited by eight experimenters and each experimenter recruited 5 participants each

Grants Procedure

A

The students were tested 1 at a time. Each participants had headphones with that used the same tapes as everyone had which was background noise recorded during lunchtime in a uni cafeteria.

The Participants read a 2 page article on psychoimmunolgy. The time they took to read the article was recorded and after 2 minuted of finishing they completed the tests.

The 10 short-answer test was always done first to ensure that the recall of information from the article was being tested. This procedure took 30 mins

A

There is an sig effect of studying and testing in the same conditions. People performed best when they learnt and took the tests in the same condition
