The outermost layer made of rock which make tectonic plates.

The semi - solid layer, which the tectonic plates float on. It moves very slowly as a result of convection currents which are driven by heat energy from the hot core.

A layer made of liquid iron and nickel that generates the Earth’s magnetic field.
