How do worms cause damage to the human body
A
Worms do NOT tend to replicate within hosts
Damage is either:
- Slow: worm, or it progeny, attempts to escape
- Rapid: tissue damage as humans are not the natural host

What are the types of helminth
A
Cestodes (tapeworms): Hydatid, Pork/beef/fish tape worm
Trematodes (flukes): Lung, liver, intestinal, Blood (Schistosoma) – Schistosomiasis
Nematodes (roundworms): Hookworms, Ascarids, Strongyloides
