Having wealth is not nessacarily good or bad but there is ethical considerations about how Christian’s gain their wealth and how it’s used
Spiritual values are most important
Many Christian’s oppose gambling particularly Methodists and quakers because it encourages greed or the love of money for its own sake
Most Christian’s believe giving to charities and those in need is an important part of their faith. Some give a tenth of their income (a tithe) to good causes

Hebrews 13:5 “keep your life free from love of money and be content with what you have”
The parable of the rich man and Lazarus -Luke 16:19-31 the Rich man who had everything in life and paid no attention to the poverty and needs of Lazarus who sat at his gates, died
He suffered a hell in the afterlife as he had only ever thought of physical pleasure
Lazarus who had suffered physically in life went to heaven and enjoyed a new life there

Muslims shouldn’t be money lenders. Islamic banks set up ways that people can borrow money without the bank making interest on loan
The Quran forbids gambling or gaining money by chance. Or accepting money connected with it like lottery funding

A

Charity is important in islam and should be given through love rather than a sense of duty
Zakat- 2.5% of wealth every year for the poor and needy
Khums- Shia Muslims are expected to pay a wealth tax of 20%. The money is paid to Muslim scholars and community leaders
Zakat-ul-fitr- additional donation given at Ramadan. Allows poor to have a generous meal at the end of fasting during Eid-al-fitr
